I am feeling lucky to get the opportunity to work with NOKIA research. My Internship started on 1st Jan 2010 and will get over by 15th July 2010. I started working from college lab initially. I started working with Qt and Collaborative editing. Picked up kobby and put mysql based authentication server in between kobby server and clients so that clients can contact to server only after authentication. Then I started working on koffice. Koffice is office suite developed in Qt. It is an open source project having 13 applications. I started with understanding koffice design and architecture. Then started fixing bugs in koffice. Last week NOKIA gave training about Koffice development. Thanks to Boudewijn Rempt for spending a week with us and giving training on Koffice and open source development.
Now I have joined NOKIA office as intern and my project is to “Enable Editing feature in FreOffice and implementing Collaborative Editing”. FreOffice is a Koffice based document viewer for Maemo based devices. Work is already started and is in full swing. I hope that I will be able to finish basic editing features by the end of May 2010.
